Taylor & Cam’s St. Augustine Engagement Session
Let me just say — Taylor and Cam are my kind of people. We grabbed dinner the night before their session, and within minutes, it felt like we’d been friends forever. We kicked things off at River & Fort, soaking in the sunset views over Castillo de San Marcos, then wrapped up the night with the best ice cream I’ve ever had at Mayday. (Seriously, do yourself a favor and go.)
Now, back to the session. Taylor and Cam wanted their engagement photos to feel fresh, a little different, and totally them. With their wedding coming up on November 10th, 2025, with the most perfect “coastal country chic” vibe, we knew their photos needed to match that effortless style.
These two started as college friends before falling in love, and three years later — here we are. Taylor’s the outgoing, bubbly one, while Cam’s more low-key, but together? Perfect balance. Plus, they’re major foodies and cocktail lovers, which I knew we had to weave into their shoot.
When I suggested St. Augustine, they were all in. It’s one of my go-to spots for engagement sessions because it has everything: European-style streets, historic charm, and endless stunning corners. I mapped out our plan using my favorite app, Mapstr, and we built the dream lineup: the iconic Bridge of Lions, the hidden charm of Palm Row, the energy of St. George Street, and the canopy-lined beauty of Magnolia Avenue.
To top it all off, we made a stop at The Ice Plant — easily one of the coolest bars in town. But Taylor took it even further and booked a private “bottle your own bourbon” experience at the St. Augustine Distillery for Cam, since bourbon’s his thing. Bonus: it’s in the same building as The Ice Plant. Our plan was flawless.
The session was a dream. We caught golden hour on the bridge, wandered the quiet side streets, and ended with a cocktail in hand. The whole day felt easy and natural — like hanging out with old friends (who just happen to be ridiculously photogenic).
Taylor and Cam’s story is so special — from college best friends to planning their future together. Getting to capture this season of their lives in one of my favorite cities was an absolute honor.
